Rumi, October 3, 2025

To install Monitorix on CentOS 7, first, enable the EPEL repository using sudo yum install epel-release, then install the necessary packages with sudo yum install monitorix rrdtool perl-libwww-perl perl-DBI. After installation, enable and start the Monitorix service with sudo systemctl enable –now monitorix and access the dashboard by navigating to http://your_server_ip:8080 in your web browser.

Step 1: Update System and Enable EPEL Repository

Update your system’s packages:

sudo yum update -y

Install the EPEL repository:

sudo firewall-cmd --permanent --zone=public --add-port=8080/tcp
sudo firewall-cmd --reload

Step 4: Start and Enable the Monitorix Service

Start the Monitorix service: and set it to start automatically on system boot:

sudo systemctl enable --now monitorix

Check the status: of the service to ensure it is running correctly:

sudo systemctl status monitorix

Step 5: Access the Monitorix Dashboard

Open your web browser: and navigate to the Monitorix dashboard by entering

http://your_server_ip:8080/monitorix
